Nature and history abound at the 27-acre Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, just minutes from the bustle of downtown Vancouver. Set within the unique environment of British Columbia’s cedar-scented rainforest, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and brand new Cliffwalk allow you to delve into nature’s beauty while kicking up the adrenaline.

Originally built in 1889, the 450 foot long Capilano Suspension Bridge soars 230 feet above the Capilano River and is your gateway to the forest beyond. Take your time crossing this magnificent structure while enjoying the spectacular view of the canyon and river below.

Upon reaching the other side, discover the Treetops Adventure, a series of interconnected suspension bridges that travel high above the forest floor through the lush evergreen foliage of towering Douglas firs. Viewing platforms nestled into the tree canopy give you a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal forest.

But for a real thrill, the awe-inspiring Cliffwalk is not to be missed. This amazing walkway juts out from the granite cliff of Capilano Canyon and takes guests to areas of the park that were previously unexplored. High and narrow, Cliffwalk is not for the feint of heart. A series of cantilevered, suspended walkways hug the face of the cliff.

Beyond these main activities, there are plenty of ways to explore the rich history and unique ecosystem of the park. Interactive displays and informative panels offer insight into the forest’s ecology with fun facts and identification clues. Guided history tours are offered hourly and are a great way to learn about the park’s colorful past. A stroll through majestic evergreens and past tranquil ponds with one of the park’s naturalists is a fantastic way to learn about the flora and fauna of the old-growth rain forest and discovery the mysteries of this unique Vancouver environment.

Not for those with vertigo or motion sickness. The bridge sways and can be hard to get through. Other than that it was amazing and I'd do it all over again

Not necessary to purchase tickets in advance

We had a difficult time getting an answer to where we can board the shuttle. Also since the shuttle runs every 15 minutes the time you select is not relevant. Also the Vancouver visitor center will give you a $5 off coupon for the tickets. Therefore I found that booking through viator is not necessary.

It was an amazing trip in the wood. It's so good to see how it was taking care not to "hurt" the trees when they set it all up.

It is a great place to spend some time away from the city. The place will take max 2 hrs to explore. Good to start at 9 am to avoid the crowd and hear the birds of prey talk at 10 am.

Was a perfect way to spend the morning while we waited to check in for our cruise. A free shuttle from Canada Place made the trip there and back easy. The park was real fun, even for us 50+ crowd. If you go, don't forget to get your Beaver balls and hot chocolate once you cross the bridge. (Pancake type balls with syrup or chocolate).

Capilano Park was my favorite part of Vancouver. Everything in this part is fun or beautiful or interesting. If I lived in Vancouver permanently I would have an annual membership so I could go here anytime I wanted.

This hike was unbelievable and our day at the park was perfect. We really enjoyed the cultural background information behind the park, the beauty of the trails, and The Cliff Walk!! The bird handler was very skilled and we could tell he loved his job. I highly recommend visiting this adventure. Transportation was amazingly easy to use, too!

WOW! This was a fantastic day and so impressive how this park has been designed. Being able to walk amongst the trees up high above the pathways, beautifully laid out. We also enjoyed a brief stop at the Cabin for Hot Cocoa and 'Beaver Balls'! This was the highlight of our visit to Vancouver, highly recommend for every age group!
